Corvette - America’s Only True Sports Car |
General Motors introduced the Corvette in 1953. It was the first North American car body to be constructed of fiberglass and composite materials. After over 50 plus years of production, the Corvette has only gone through six major chassis and body styles. One of the body styles that stands out and remains one of the most popular today is the 3rd generation, referred to as the C3 series or ‘Shark’ series.
The Corvette C3 was was introduced as a coupe or convertible body style in 1968 and continued right through to 1982. The C3 convertible ceased production in 1975. Many different drive train combinations were offered throughout the C3 era. The ‘Shark’ remains one of the most popular and affordable Corvettes today. There is an abundance of after market parts available for them and tons of resources to maintain them.
